Traber Loses Nearly Decade Long Tiger Bet

“In 2011, Traber bet morning show host, Craig Humphreys $200 that Tiger would never win another major, doubling down on the wager with Sports Animal midday host Mark Rodgers.”

The hit might not sting as much as Vegas after William Hill took an $85,000 wager on Tiger Woods at 14/1 last week,  but afternoon host for Oklahoma City’s The Sports Animal, Jim Traber lost an almost decade long bet on Sunday.

In 2011, Traber bet morning show host, Craig Humphreys $200 that Tiger would never win another major, doubling down on the wager with Sports Animal midday host Mark Rodgers.  More than the dollar amount, the wager grew in pride as it was frequently discussed on-air over the years.

“I think it’s great stuff, I went out on a massive limb and everybody made fun of me and laughed at me. Obviously, it’s been a really good bet,” Traber said last year prior to Woods competing in the PGA Championship.

Sports Animal midday host, Mark Rodgers said Traber already reached out to him Sunday afternoon with arrangements to make good on the wager.
