Tom Brady Ends Interview on WEEI over Host’s Remarks

On Monday morning, Tom Brady made his regular appearance on the Kirk and Callahan Show but it ended rather quickly. The Patriots Quarterback expressed disappointment over comments made by WEEI contributor Alex Reimer last Thursday night. While discussing Brady’s documentary,“Tom vs Time,” which streams on Facebook Watch, Reimer referred to Brady’s daughter as “being an annoying little pissant.”

Just last week Entercom and the New England Patriots announced a new multi-year partnership to continue their Patriots Monday and Friday programming which includes weekly segments with Brady and Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick on the WEEI Sports Radio Network. Brady, however, was not pleased with Reimer’s comments and said he was unsure about appearing in the future on WEEI’s morning show.

“I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and show you guys a lot of respect,” Brady told Kirk and Callahan. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys. It’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly. My daughter, or any child, they certainly don’t deserve that.”

Kirk Minihane told Brady he understood his disappointment and was bothered by Reimer’s comments as well, calling them “indefensible.” WEEI suspended Reimer indefinitely for his remarks. He was originally scheduled to be part of the station’s Super Bowl coverage this week in Minneapolis but was sent home.
