In a season filled with a bounce back ratings, the NFL did not disappoint two of it’s major network partners. Both NBC and FOX reported excellent ratings for their respective broadcasts.
The afternoon matchup of the Colts and Chiefs on NBC scored a 19.0/37 overnight rating – making it the most watched game in that slot in 3 years. It was up a full 9% from the same game last year.
FOX’s Saturday evening broadcast of the Cowboys and Rams secured a 20.5/35 rating, up a full 23% from the same game last year. It will also most likely stand up as the highest rated primetime NFL game of the season. Currently, it’s the most watched Saturday night Divisional game since 2012.
As far as matchups are concerned, it’s clear FOX was fortunate to draw the Cowboys visiting a major media market in Los Angeles.
