Quinn & Rose Out At ESPN Pittsburgh

“After six months on air, iHeartMedia chose to revert back to carrying all four hours of Wingo and Golic on ESPN Pittsburgh.”

ESPN Pittsburgh 970 returned to a 24/7 sports schedule earlier this month, dropping longtime local staples The Quinn & Rose Show.

Conservative talk hosts, Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennent were added to ESPN Pittsburgh’s lineup in September, broadcasting weekdays from 8 – 10am.  After six months on air, iHeartMedia chose to revert back to carrying all four hours of Wingo and Golic on ESPN Pittsburgh.

“We decided to go back to full-time sports programming,” iHeartMedia spokesman Anthony Alfonsi told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  “We thanked them for their contribution to the station,” Alfonsi added referring to Quinn and Rose.

ESPN Pittsburgh now carries network programming 7pm – 10am.  Their weekday schedule includes local shows, Tunch & Wolf from 10am – noon, Savron on Sports from noon – 4pm and Adam Crowley until 7pm.
