The NBA 2K League will return for its second season in April as it streams live on Twitch for the entire 18-week season.
The 2K League is an esports venture in which 21 teams will compete with each team of six gamers controlling individual players in traditional 5-on-5 virtual basketball by way of the NBA 2K video game.
Regular season games will be presented from the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in Long Island City, New York, Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
In addition to the 16 regular season games each team will play, there will also be three feature tournaments: The Tipoff, The Turn and The Ticket. The winner of The Ticket tournament will be guaranteed a spot among the eight-team playoff bracket.
The tournaments and playoffs will collectively pay out $1.2 million in prize money.
Last season Knicks Gaming won the inaugural 2K League championship by sweeping Heat Check Gaming in the finals.
