Saturday’s Final Four doubleheader was just about what many expected from a semi-final weekend without traditional blue blood powers.
@MarchMadnessTV released the viewing numbers Sunday – claiming the CBS telecast registered an 8.8 which was a 13% increase over last year’s Semis. NCAA March Madness Live also measured a 14% in streams.
While they look good compared to 2018, the numbers don’t shine as bright when you take into consideration last year’s Final Four Saturday was on TBS.
The last time the Semis were on CBS, 2017, the network registered a 10.4 and 8,5 for the two games.
This trend doesn’t look great for Monday’s national championship, also on CBS. Last year’s Villanova-Michigan National Championship, which aired on CBS, drew a 9.2 – the lowest rating ever.
