Marxkors To Host KMOX Blues Coverage Saturday

“Although it was her first time hosting the pre and post-game coverage for the Blues radio broadcast, Marxkors has been an analyst and on-air contributor to Entercom’s KMOX for three years now.”

Sports announcer, Amy Marxkors became the first woman to host the pre and post-game show for a professional team in St. Louis.  On Saturday February 2nd, Marxkors welcomed fans to the St. Louis Blues game on KMOX NewsRadio 1120.

“I’m honored that it just happens to be me,” Marxkors told Radio.com. “And I know the critical mass of women announcers is still coming, but for me it’s personally just a huge honor and being the first women is just an incredible bonus.”

Although it was her first time hosting the pre and post-game coverage for the Blues radio broadcast, Marxkors has been an analyst and on-air contributor to Entercom’s KMOX for three years now.  Beyond her tenure with KMOX, Marxkors has covered the St. Louis Blues for decades.  Dating back to the age of 12, Marxkors would write Blues newsletters as a homeschooling assignment, often attending the team’s morning skate to do so.

Every Monday night, Marxkors can be heard on KMOX with Alex Ferrario, hosting the station’s weekly hockey show.
