Lindsay Czarniak Launches Sports & Music Podcast

Digital on-demand audio company, Cadence13 announced a new podcast hosted by former ESPN anchor Lindsay Czarniak titled Players which focuses on the crossover of sports and music.

Players will be a weekly interview series featuring country music stars who are passionate about sports, discussing the importance of sports on their lives and its impact on their careers.

“I have always been fascinated by the intersection of sports and music. I’ve had many conversations over the years with athletes and musicians to make me realize how much they have in common. They are all ‘players’ trying to make it to the top of their game,” said Czarniak.

The first episode, which was released on Tuesday, features Cole Swindell, with future shows set to include country music superstars Chris Young, Kane Brown, Scotty McCreery and Lee Brice.

“I am grateful for how these country artists have opened up and invited me into their worlds and I cannot wait for listeners to hear what they’ve shared. There are revealing lessons and personal stories that so many people will relate to” Czarniak added.

Czarniak spent six years at ESPN, hosting the 6pm SportsCenter for more than two years, before departing in the summer of 2017 after being unable to agree on her future role with the network.  Earlier this year, Czarniak was hired by NBC Washington as a contributor for their 2018 Super Bowl coverage.
