Jane McManus has added a new line to her resume. She has joined The New York Daily News as a sports columnist. She made the announcement on her Twitter account on Monday. McManus, who formerly wrote for ESPN, is also the director of Marist University’s Center for Sports Communication.
McManus has already contributed her first column to The Daily News. In it she argues that while Condoleeza Rice is not qualified to interview for the Browns head coaching job, she is happy to see the former Secretary of State using the platform to advocate for the NFL hiring more women in coaching roles.
In addition to ESPN and her new gig, McManus has also had stories run in Newsday, USA Today, The Journal News, and The New York Times.
