Local Baton Rouge sports radio show, Hangin’ with Hester is moving from weeknights to middays beginning April 1st.
Former LSU running back, Jacob Hester began his sports radio career with a weekly show in 2015 following a five-year NFL career. In 2017, the former 3rd round draft pick transitioned to a daily show on ESPN 104.5 and 1130AM The Tiger. Currently broadcasting from 6 – 8pm, Hangin’ with Hester will soon fill the 1 – 3pm timeslot on both stations.
On Townsquare Media’s 1130AM The Tiger, Hester’s show will replace The Herd with Colin Cowherd, which is only carried for the 1pm hour and Wrestling Observer Livefrom 2 – 3pm. The Tiger did not announce if their one-hour weekday wrestling show will be relocated.
Hangin’ with Hester will replace The Stephen A. Smith Show during its first hour and The Will Cain Show from 2 – 3pm on Guaranty Broadcasting’s ESPN 104.5. As reported by The Advocate, the station will no longer broadcast any of The Will Cain Show while airing a replay of Stephen A. Smith from 6 – 8pm, Hester’s soon to be former timeslot.
Beginning April 1st, ESPN 104.5 will feature four local weekday shows in their lineup with the addition of Hangin’ with Hester from 1 – 3pm. Off the Bench with Jordy Culotta and T-Bob Hebert from 7am – 9am, Sports Today with Charles Hanagriff and Jimmy Ott from 11am – 1pm, along with After Further Review hosted by Matt Moscona from 3 – 6pm will remain unchanged.
