ESPN Gainesville 98.1FM and 850 AM WRUF, owned by the University of Florida, has named Brett Holcomb their Assistant Program Director and Brand Manager.
“You’ll see Brett much more involved with the production of live content on a daily basis,” said Program Director Robert Harder in a press release. “We have high expectations for how the station will evolve and are excited to have Brett lead that charge.”
Holcomb joined the University of Florida in 2014 to begin working for their radio station, where he’s contributed as Operations Manager for the majority of his tenure. A native of Philadelphia, Holcomb spent more than a decade as a producer with Sports Radio WIP earlier in his career. Prior to moving to Jacksonville to work for the University of Florida’s ESPN Gainesville in 2014, Holcomb served as PD of New Jersey’s WBZC, owned by Rowan College at Burlington County.
ESPN Gainesville is the flagship radio station for the Florida Gators, also serving as an affiliate for the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lightning and Jacksonville Jaguars.
