Greg Olsen Joins Fox For NFC Playoff Games

“While he’ll spend the weekend in studio with Jimmy, Terry, Howie and Curt, it’s believed Olsen would most likely be a color analyst in the future.”

Following a couple injury plagued seasons, it’s becoming clear 33-year-old Greg Olsen is preparing for life after football.  The Panthers tight end will join the FOX studio crew for the network’s coverage of both NFC games this weekend.

“I still enjoy playing, I still know I can play,” explained the 3 time Pro Bowler last month.  “But that decision’s not always up to me.”

This won’t be the first time Olsen has worked in front of the camera.  In fact, last year there were rumors he could possibly replace Jon Gruden on Monday Night Football before Jason Witten secured the job.  While he’ll spend the weekend in studio with Jimmy, Terry, Howie and Curt, it’s believed Olsen would most likely be a color analyst in the future.

Olsen’s insight should prove valuable this weekend, as the Panthers squared off against the Cowboys in Week 1 and he’s seen plenty of his division rival in New Orleans.
