We’re just months away from the Women’s World Cup in France and FOX is heavily invested. Thursday, executives announced nearly half (22) of the tournament’s 52 total matches would air on Fox.
This network exposure will put the biggest stage of women’s soccer in more living rooms than ever before. Of the remaining games, 27 will be found on Fox Sports 1 with the remaining 3 set to air on FS2.
Fox Sports Vice President of Production and FIFA World Cup Executive Producer, David Neal, made the announcement. “Our programming schedule reflects the scale of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and our commitment to it following our unprecedented coverage of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.”
JP Dellecamera and Aly Wagner will anchor the coverage in France with a set at the base of the Eiffel Tower. The tournament is set to begin June 9.
