Holly Sonders told Golfweek’s “Forecaddie” that she will no longer be a part of Fox’s golf coverage. That doesn’t mean she is leaving the company. Sonders says she is transitioning to being a studio host.
I’m incredibly proud to have been a part of Fox Sports’ USGA coverage,” Sonders said when contacted by The Forecaddie. “The entire golf team has become like family and I learned a lot working alongside them. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Fox Sports as I transition into a studio role and am excited about the opportunities ahead of me.
Fox lured Sonders away from the Golf Channel when they first began covering USGA events in 2015. She has also served as an NFL sideline reporter in that time.
Fox did not provide details on the decision when contacted by “The Forecaddie.” It did issue a statement that read “Holly is a valued member of the Fox Sports family and we’re thrilled to continue working with her.”
