Fox Brings World Surfing League To TV

“FS2 is expected to carry most of the Championship Tour events live (or close to live) through the season.”

According to a deal announced this week – FOX Sports will produce over 500 hours of surfing coverage across all of the network’s platforms in 2019.

“The World Surf League gives us the opportunity to present the world’s best surfers to our audiences,” declared Bill Wagner – EVP of Programming, Live Operations and Research for FOX Sports. WSL’s 2019 Men’s and Women’s Championship Tour, the Big Wave Tour, and highlight shows will be found on FOX, FS1, FS2 and the FOX Sports app all year long.

“We’re delighted with the additional coverage FOX Sports will bring to our events and million sof fans across multiple platforms,” stated WSL CEO Sophie Goldschmidt.

The WSL Men’s and Women’s Championship Tours are set to begin the first week of April in Australia with the Quicksilver Pro Gold Coast on the men’s side and the women’s Boost Mobile Pro.  FS2 is expected to carry most of the Championship Tour events live (or close to live) through the season.
