ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this week with an hour-long Nación ESPN special called Nación ESPN: The Latino Experience. It will be simulcast on both networks on Wednesday October 10th at 8pm. An edited version will be rebroadcast on October 11.
This marks the sixth year the company has celebrated Hispanic Heritage month with a Nación ESPN special. Segments include a look at basketball and the NBA’s growing popularity in Guatemala’s indigenous regions, a profile of 12-year-old California state boxing champions Meryland Gonzalez, and a profile of José Calderón, a beneficiary of the DREAM Act and standout high school golfer.
The show will also feature a live musical performance from LA radio personality and nationally known DJ, DJ Charisma. The special will be hosted by the regular Nación ESPN crew of Max Bretos, Mauricio Pedroza, Pilar Pérez and Jorge Sedano.
