David Schultz Headed To ESPN 1420 For Weekends

“In March, Schultz departed Lafayette’s cross-town sports radio station, 103.7 The Game, following a five-year tenure as their weekday morning host and program director.”

Louisiana sports radio veteran, David Schultz will join Lafayette’s ESPN 1420 for a Sunday morning show beginning May 19th, the radio station announced earlier this week.

“We are happy to add Dave to our ESPN 1420 lineup,” Townsquare Media Regional VP and GM Mike Grimsley said in a press release. “He has demonstrated his great on-air ability in this market. We look forward to hearing his fun takes on the sports world, along with his terrific guests every Sunday morning.”

In March, Schultz departed Lafayette’s cross-town sports radio station, 103.7 The Game, following a five-year tenure as their weekday morning host and program director.

“I still haven’t gotten used to sleeping in,” Schultz said about joining ESPN 1420. “Since I’m up anyways, why not be on the radio? A sincere thank you to Mike Grimsley and Scott Prather for the opportunity.”

Near the end of April, Schultz Began hosting his Shut Up Dave Podcast, a daily 30 minute program available on most podcast hosting platforms, including iTunes and TuneIn. His new Sunday show on ESPN 1420 will launch May 19th, airing from 8 – 10am.
