As the Motor Racing Network gets set to broadcast their 50th consecutive spring race from Talladega Superspeedway this Sunday, they’ll do so featuring a hall-of-fame guest analyst.
2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, Dale Jarrett will join MRN for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series “GEICO 500” from Talladega. Jarrett will work as the lead analyst on the broadcast, a role his father and NASCAR Hall-of-Famer, Ned Jarrett previously held for many years. Dale’s brother, Glenn Jarrett also contributed as a longtime analyst for MRN until retiring earlier this year.
“I’m very excited MRN has given me the opportunity at Talladega to do something in NASCAR I’ve never done,” Jarrett said in a press release. “It’s always an exciting race, and to work my first radio broadcast at the track I scored my last victory is very special,” added Jarrett referring to his October 2005 first place finish at Talladega.
The Motor Racing Network is the largest sports radio network in America and delivers programming to more than 600 affiliates nationwide. Their coverage of the Geico 500 from Talladega will begin Sunday, April 28th at 1pm with the green flag being waved at 2pm.
