NBC Sports has chosen Ahmed Fareed to be their new national studio and events host. For the past six years, Fareed has been working as a studio host and reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area in San Francisco.
“We’ve admired (Fareed)’s work at Bay Area for a long time and finally had the opportunity to have him join us in Connecticut,” declared Sam Flood, Executive Producer and NBC Sports President of Production.
Fareed has worked on NBC Sports’ coverage during the last two Olympics.
A two-time Emmy winner, Fareed covered every major sports franchise in the Bay Area and witnessed a World Series title (the Giants in 2014) and three NBA Finals victories by the Warriors. He’ll make his debut with NBCSN during their Rugby Premiership coverage.
“After working closely with so many great people for the last two Olympics, I’m excited for the opportunity to work on many of NBC Sports Group’s properties,” Fareed said.
