iHeartMedia’s 790 KRD in Louisville, KY is set to debut their new weekday lineup and it features Nick Coffey in morning drive.
With Howie Lindsay leaving the radio industry to become the Director of Public Relations for the Louisville City Football Club, KRD was forced to find a new morning host. The station didn’t have to look very far, choosing to move their own Nick Coffey into the morning slot. Coffey has hosted KRD’s midday show, The Red Zone from noon – 3pm for just shy of three years, joining the station’s weekday lineup on March 7th 2016.
“Thrilled to be taking over mornings on 790 KRD. I can’t thank the iHeart Louisville team enough for having faith in me with such a great opportunity,” Coffey said via Twitter.
Coffey taking over mornings on Cards Radio means The Herd with Colin Cowherd will join KRD’s lineup from noon – 3pm. iHeart did not announce whether or not they will look to fill the midday slot with an additional local show or if The Herd is a long-term solution. 790’s new weekday schedule will feature two national shows, Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd from 10am – 3pm.
The new Cards Radio lineup will go into effect Friday, March 1st where fans can listen on 790 KRD, the station’s website and the iHeartRadio app.
