Hall-of-Fame quarterback and radio analyst for the Seattle Seahawks, Warren Moon, will remain on a leave of absence following sexual harassment allegations that were made public last December.
Without Moon, former fullback Mack Strong will take over the analyst duties for the Seahawks radio broadcast on KIRO 97.3 during the preseason. Strong, whose entire 14-year career was with the Seahawks, will join play-by-play announcer Steve Raible on the call.
For the regular season, Moon’s replacement on KIRO will be former running back Dave Wyman. Wyman, along with Brock Huard, closed out the season for Seattle last year calling the final four Seahawk games after Moon began his leave of absence. Wyman will partner with Raible on the broadcast, as well as KIRO sideline reporters Jen Mueller and John Clayton.
Although it’s been more than eight months since Moon stepped down from his analyst duties, Wyman’s role in the booth is viewed as a temporary replacement. No permanent decisions will be made until Moon’s legal matter comes to a close.
