94.3 the Game Taps Patrick Johnson for Afternoons

Patrick Johnson is making the move to sports talk. The veteran North Carolina newsman left News Radio 680 WPTF in Raleigh earlier this month. He will start in afternoon drive at 94.3 the Game in Greenville, NC on August 27th. The show will be called The Patrick Johnson Show.

Johnson is no stranger to the sports world. He previously served as the sports anchor at the North Carolina News Network, and has called play-by-play for several sports including college football and men’s and women’s basketball for Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, SiriusXM and NFHS. He also has a history with 94.3 the Game calling high school football and hosting pre and postgame shows for East Carolina Pirates football.

The Game’s ECU pregame show will be lead by Johnson this season. His first official day with the Game will be August 25 when the station presents a special program called The PMan Pigskin Preview

  1. Patrick:
Sorry to see you go. My wife & I miss your morning voice, always upbeat, your interviews and the stinking genius quiz’s. But, life changes and people move on!
I’ll have to tune into 94.3 sometime!
    Much success in the sports-casting!
