Vic The Brick Launches This Day in Sports History

Radio listeners will now be able to hear Vic “The Brick” Jacobs on stations across the country through a partnership with Benztown.

Benztown offers an extensive library of radio imaging, through their sports specific library “Adrenaline,” Jacobs will record a daily 30-second feature titled This Day in Sports History.  Samples of the new segment are available on Soundcloud.

Regarding the partnership, Dave Denes, Benztown President, said, “Vic was one of the very first people to welcome me to L.A. when I moved here 18 years ago. His warmth and authenticity instantly endeared me to him. He is the same person on-air as he is in real life and that’s why I think he’s a star. We’re excited to have him as the voice of This Day in Sports History which comes free of charge on a daily basis to all of our Adrenaline library affiliates.”

The iconic sports personality has been a staple in the industry since 1979 and is widely known for his work as co-host of the national Fox Sports Radio show, Loose Cannons.  The New York native built a career on the West Coast, helping launch sports talk for the Los Angeles station KXTA in 1997.

Vic “The Brick” commented on his new segment and included his famous “Feeling You!” catchphrase, “Sports fans… Feeling you! Honored and humbled to be in this mighty mix of el gigante audio dynamite.”
