Now that hockey season and basketball season are over for the city of Philadelphia, 97.5 the Fanatic is filling its evenings with two new local programs. The first will be hosted by the station’s Sixers insider Devon Givens and The Score writer Geoff Mosher. That show will run from 6-9 pm and will be followed by local play by play personality Joe Tordy.
The station’s new summer schedule also includes The Fanatic at 5, a new early morning show hosted by Eytan Shander and Jamie Lynch, which the station announced last week. Beasley Broadcasting Director of Sports Content Eric Johnson says that the moves are about getting more local sports coverage on the air in the absence of live play-by-play.
THE FANATIC AT 5 with EYTAN AND JAMIE will take an in-depth look at daily PHILLY sports news. It will include the scores, stories and sounds that bring PHILADELPHIA sports to life. Listeners can enjoy DEVON’s SIXERS knowledge and GEOFF’s deep EAGLES insight over the summer until the FLYERS and SIXERS seasons return. In addition, JOE TORDY has his finger on the beat of PHILLY sports and is not afraid to share opinions with listeners.
