Kristine Leahy’s promotion at FS1 is causing all kinds of changes to the network’s talent lineup. Leahy is leaving Colin Cowheard’s radio/TV simulcast to reportedly launch her own show later in the year. While nothing is official, rumors say that current Undisputed moderator Joy Taylor will be teaming with Cowherd.
Those rumors got a little stronger today with the news that Jenny Taft will replace Taylor and join Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed. The announcement has not yet been made official.
Taft joined FS1 for the network’s launch in 2013. Since that time she has covered college football, Major League Baseball, and women’s olympic sports for the network. Michael McCarthy of The Sporting News noted Taft’s popularity with her co-workers and superiors.
In 2017, she was promoted to lead college football sideline reporter for Fox/FS1 alongside play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson and analyst Joel Klatt. Some Fox staffers refer to the popular Taft as “America’s Sweetheart,” sources told SN.
An announcement on the future of Undisputed and Jenny Taft is expected sometime later today.
