Craig Carton announced a national terrestrial radio syndication deal for his daily show on the FNTSY Sports Network, Carton and Friends. When I recently spoke with Carton, the former WFAN host stated the show was close to being available on terrestrial radio through a syndication deal which will begin Tuesday May 29th. Carton was able to officially announce the partnership on his show, Carton and Friends, yesterday.
Carton and Friends has been broadcast on the FNTSY Sports Network since March 29th of this year. As per the syndication deal, the show will partner with Sports Byline USA, Focus 360 and the American Forces Network, with plans to be distributed on over 100 terrestrial radio stations around the country in the coming months.
Via Talkers.com, Focus 360 CEO Phil Brown stated, “We’re delighted to bring Craig Carton back to broadcast radio and be on his team. Craig is a proven ratings winner with a huge fan base. He knows everybody in sports and the lineup of guests, combined with the fun banter, draws in listeners. This is a great opportunity for sports radio stations and for advertisers who want to reach an engaged audience. Welcome back, Craig Carton!”
Craig Carton resigned from WFAN and the number one rated morning show, Boomer and Carton after being arrested on September 6th, 2017 on charges of wire and securities fraud. Carton’s new daily show, Carton and Friends, with Michelle Serpico and Corey Parson, will join terrestrial radio after just two months of being on the air. The list of stations which will carry Carton and Friends has not yet been released. I was told by Carton, the show received interest to be broadcast locally, but it will not yet be available on terrestrial radio in New York.
