ESPN Radio Adds Four Shows To Its Weekend Lineup

ESPN Radio is adding four new shows to its 2016 winter weekend schedule. The network announced it will pair ESPN New York 98.7FM’s Dave Rothenberg & ESPN.com college basketball writer Myron Medcalf (Saturdays, 5p-8p ET), ESPN New York 98.7FM’s Robin Lundberg & SportsCenter correspondent and comedian Reese Waters (Saturdays, 11p-1a), Clinton Yates, Mina Kimes & Domonique Foxworth of ESPN’s The Undefeated (Sundays, 9a-12p), and SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers & ESPNU host Jason Fitz (10p-Midnight).

“We are extremely excited about this lineup,” said David Roberts, vice president, Network Content. “It features talent that represents the principles of diversity in every sense of the word. I’m confident that our fans will be consistently informed , entertained and left with a host of memorable moments, which is our mission 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

The network says additional programming will be rolled out through January and February.

McNabb & Custer, which debuted in the fall and involves former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb and Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Brian Custer, will continue in the winter, moving from its current timeslot to Noon, starting Sunday, February 12th.

Returning shows to the weekend schedule in 2017 include Dari & Mel hosted by Dari Nowkhah and Mel Kiper Jr.; espnW presents The Trifecta on ESPN Radio hosted by Sarah Spain, Jane McManus and Kate Fagan; Marty & McGee hosted by Marty Smith and Ryan McGee; Dickerson & Hood hosted by Jeff Dickerson and Jonathan Hood;  Max & The Coach hosted by Max Bretos and Jonathan Coachman; and NBA Lockdown Insiders hosted by Marc Stein, Amin Elhassan and Brian Windhorst.

Weekend Observations hosted by Jon “Stugotz” Weiner and Mike Golic Jr. will continue as a year-round program. The full lineup also includes mainstays like John Clayton’s Inside the Huddle and The Sporting Life hosted by Jeremy Schaap.
