Stackpole Leaves WZON For 92.9 The Ticket

According to the Bangor Daily News, Bryan Stackpole, who produced “Downtown with Rich Kimball” for WZON since its inception in 2011, is leaving the radio station to co-host “The Morning Pitch” with Dale Duff on 92.9 FM The Ticket in Brewer.

Stackpole begins his new job Monday and replaces Clem LaBree who’s left the radio business.

In addition to co-hosting the morning show, the 26-year-old Stackpole will be the assistant brand manager, and a producer and board operator.

Ryan Waning, who has been co-hosting Kimball’s show since February, will take Stackpole’s spot. He’ll also serve as the show’s producer and board operator and assist with website duties.

Stackpole said “I’ll miss working with Rich and Ryan and the relationships we built up. But I’m exciting to try something new”. “This is a perfect time for the show to grow without me and include other personalities like Ryan. He could really excel in that position.”

Kimball said Stackpole will be missed but he understands the rationale behind his decision.

“It is a great move for him. It is a great opportunity,” said Kimball. “It’s a good chance for him to learn a different way of doing things and he will probably get more air time. It’s great for him and it’s an opportunity for us.”
