Jordan Gross stepped away from the Carolina Panthers as a player two years ago.
Now the former Pro Bowl offensive lineman is stepping away from their broadcast team.
Gross, 35, said he enjoyed his two seasons roaming the sideline with a headset and mic but is mindful of making time for his wife and their two school-age children.
“I just want to spend time with my family. I loved the opportunity. I love the Panthers,” Gross said Thursday. “I just want to have more availability, try some new stuff in life.”
Gross said he and his family will continue to live in the Charlotte area during the school year while spending time in his native Idaho over the summer.
