On his show this morning, Colin Cowherd made the worst kept secret in sports media official. Joy Taylor will leave her role on Fox Sports 1’s Skip & Shannon: Undisputed to join The Herd as the FS1/Fox Sports Radio show’s news anchor.
Taylor has been on Skip & Shannon: Undisputed since the show’s debut in September of 2016. Fox Sports also still has plans to use Taylor as part of their coverage of the Russia 2018 World Cup. She will begin her regular role on The Herd on June 18.
As previously reported, Jenny Taft will fill the vacancy left by Taylor on Undisputed starting in July.
The Herd and its 9 million listeners will not be the beginning of Taylor’s radio career. Before joining Fox Sports, she spent five years co-hosting Zaslow and Joy morning show with Jonathan Zaslow on Entercom’s 790 the Ticket in Miami.
In a Fox press release Taylor said, “Hosting UNDISPUTED has been an amazing experience and an exciting chapter in my career
working with Skip and Shannon each weekday morning. I look forward to my new role with Colin on THE HERD and the opportunity to continue engaging sports fans on FS1.”
