ESPN’s 6pm SportsCenter has continued its recent trend of viewership growth. May was the fourth month in a row that the 6pm SportsCenter showed year-over-year viewership growth.
Kevin Negandhi and Sage Steele took over as the time slot’s regular anchors on May 14th. Their version of SportsCenter averaged 531,000 viewers. That’s a 19% growth from May of 2017. The program is also up 6% versus the 6pm SportsCenter’s audience during the quarter of 2017 including April, May and June.
While it is early, ESPN is already banking on extending the streak to five months. The network reported in a press release that the audience is up 2% from this time in June of last year as well.
