Oath, Verizon’s digital content subsidiary announced the launch of ten new original shows, including three which will be available on their free Yahoo Sports app.
The Rush will be a daily morning show hosted by standup comedian and former football player Jared Quay. Quay played safety for the Miami Hurricanes, signing on to the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad in 2011. The weekday morning program will feature athletes and celebrities, providing fans with must-see sports highlights.
The Spin is also a daily show available to consumers with the Yahoo Sports app. The Spin will feature multiple reporters providing in-depth analysis across all sports.
The third show touted by Oath is Soccer Mom, a six-part interview series hosted by U.S. Olympic gold medalist Abby Wambach. Wambach will dive into issues affecting athletes and parents, interviewing a variety of guests to discuss the balance of being both a high-level athlete and a caregiver.
