Sports Radio 850 (WTAR-AM) in Norfolk, Virginia are making adjustments to their weekday lineup starting September 18th. The adjustments lead to full clearance of Clay Travis’ morning show, local programming being offered for two hours each afternoon, and Rich Eisen’s program sliding up an hour early. Doug Gottlieb’s program exits the weekday schedule.
850’s local afternoon drive show will be hosted by Sports Radio 850 program director Nick Bailey. Joining Bailey to co-host the program on Mondays and Tuesdays is Jason Dick of 101X in Austin, Texas. SB Nation Radio morning host and former ESPN 980 personality Tim Murray sits in Wednesday thru Friday. Bailey had previously been hosting two hours during morning drive.
“We are excited to give the people of Hampton Roads premiere sports talk every weekday,” said Bailey. “I think the lineup gives a fresh entertaining spin on sports no matter what time of the day you tune in. Plus, local sports talk starting at 3pm will be a nice addition to the market.”
