John Clayton Named Seahawks Sideline Reporter

The Professor won’t be found in the classroom this fall. Instead, you’ll find him roaming the sidelines during Seattle Seahawks games.

Former ESPN NFL writer and reporter John Clayton is joining Seattle Seahawks radio broadcasts on 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. Clayton will share the sidelines with Jen Mueller for the 2017 NFL season.

Clayton already hosts a weekday talk show from 10a-12p PT on 710 ESPN Seattle, He’s also heard each Saturday on the station from 9a-12p PT. That means he won’t see many days off during the fall, but knowing Clayton’s interest and passion for covering the NFL, that’s a great problem to have.

Seahawks games will continue being called on the radio by Steve Raible and Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon. KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson will host the pregame and postgame shows alongside former Seahawks Jordan Babineaux, Paul Moyer, Ray Roberts and Dave Wyman.

The first broadcast is scheduled for Sunday when the NFC West champs open the preseason at 5p PT in Los Angeles versus the Chargers. Pregame coverage will start at 3p PT on 710 AM and 97.3 FM.
