Tony Gonzalez isn’t the only member who won’t be part of CBS’ NFL Today when the the 2017 season rolls around. According to the New York Post, Bart Scott is also out.
The network already announced Phil Simms was moving from the booth to fill Gonzalez’s chair. Now with Scott being let go, his position is expected to be filled by former wide receiver Nate Burleson who had recently been working for the NFL Network, and had also contributed as an analyst to the Detroit Lions television network.
Scott had been with the NFL Today since 2014. No reason was offered for why CBS wanted to move him out in favor of Burleson.
