ESPN has inked another valuable contributor to a contract extension. The latest recipient is former NBA Finals MVP and seventeen year NBA veteran Chauncey Billups.
As part of the new agreement, Billups will continue to serve as a key contributor to ESPN’s and ABC’s NBA Countdown pregame and halftime team attached to all regular NBA telecasts, including for the NBA Finals, the Conference Finals, the NBA Playoffs and throughout the regular-season.
Billups has been part of ESPN’s NBA coverage since the start of the 2014-2015 season. In addition to his current role on NBA Countdown, he’s also been featured on SportsCenter and other news and information programs that air on the ESPN family of networks.
“The insight, dedication, and leadership that made Chauncey an NBA Finals MVP also make him a tremendous NBA analyst,” said Kevin Wildes, ESPN’s Vice President, Original Content. “His team-first approach to the show makes him a pleasure to work with and a joy to watch.”
