Sports Radio 950 KJR in Seattle is switching up its midday shows, effective immediately. “Chuck and Puck” will take over weekdays from 10a-1p PT, and “The Ian Furness Show” will now broadcast weekdays from 1p-3p PT.
“Chuck and Puck” features Chuck Powell and Jason Puckett, two highly opinionated and quick-witted personalities who are very familiar to Seattle sports radio listeners. Powell had been hosting solo on the station from 10a-12p.
“The Ian Furness Show” is described as an approachable show that invites listeners into daily conversation about local Seattle sports topics. Furness had teamed with Puckett weekdays from 12p-3 prior to the lineup switch.
The two shows are surrounded by “Mitch in the Morning”, which airs weekdays from 6a-10a PT and features longtime market veteran Mitch Levy, and Dave “Softy” Mahler, who occupies weekday afternoons from 3p-7p PT.
“We’re excited to introduce these new programs to our listeners and see how the new dynamic engages Seattle’s sports fans,” said Rich Moore, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Seattle. “This is a great move as it capitalizes on the strengths of each of the talent to create engaging and entertaining shows embracing the local Seattle market.”
