Radio Ink Names Mike Francesa Sports Radio’s Top Host

In the December issue of Radio Ink Magazine, the editors at Radio Ink have named their top thirty five shows in sports radio for 2016. Taking top honors was New York sports radio icon Mike Francesa. The WFAN talk show host has announced that 2017 will be his final year behind the mic after patrolling the New York city sports radio airwaves for the past thirty years.

Rounding out the top 5 were Boomer and Carton, Toucher and Rich, Felger and Massarotti, and Valenti and Foster. All five shows are under the CBS Radio umbrella. CBS had 7 shows finish in the top 10, 10 inside the top 20, and a total of 11 which led all broadcast companies. The next closest was Cumulus who had 7 shows make the list.
