The Big Lead reports that John Kruk and ESPN are parting ways. ESPN has confirmed the news.
“ESPN and John Kruk have mutually agreed to end our relationship at this time. We’re thankful to John for his memorable contributions to our baseball coverage over the years – a run which included roles on our signature MLB franchises Sunday Night Baseball and Baseball Tonight. We wish John all the best.”
Kruk has been with ESPN since 2004. During the past season, he served primarily in a studio analyst role, and contributed to ESPN’s Little League World Series coverage. In previous years he’s also contributed as an analyst for MLB broadcasts. His agent declined to comment on whether or not Kruk had another broadcast opportunity lined up.
