Bomani and Pablo Being Considered For ESPN2 Show

With Michael Smith and Jemele Hill taking their “His & Hers” program and morphing it into a new SportsCenter style show after the upcoming Super Bowl, ESPN will have a vacancy in their daytime lineup. According to Mike McCarthy of the Sporting News, the network is considering filling that opening by teaming Bomani Jones and Pablo S. Torre in the 12pm ET time slot on ESPN2.

Jones and Torre are viewed as rising stars at ESPN. Jones presently hosts “The Right Time with Bomani Jones” on ESPN Radio, and frequently appears on Dan LeBatard’s “Highly Questionable”on ESPN2 (4:30p-5p ET). If Jones were to land the 12pm show with Torre, it’s unclear if he’d continue to appear with LeBatard on television.

Torre on the other hand is a senior writer for ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com who has appeared on numerous studio shows including PTI and Around The Horn. He joined ESPN in 2012 after a stint at Sports Illustrated.

Although Bomani and Pablo could end up becoming the new hosts of the 12pm timeslot, sources tell McCarthy that no final decision has been made and there are other possibilities being considered by the network.
