When ESPN terminated Curt Schilling, it was expected that they’d make a hire to fill his void. Today they did that by adding former All-Star Raúl Ibañez.
The 19-year veteran has signed a multi-year agreement which includes providing regular commentary on Baseball Tonight. He will also work select games as an analyst.
Aside from appearing on ESPN’s MLB studio shows, Ibañez will also deliver analysis on SportsCenter and other news and information programming. He made his official television debut during ESPN’s Wednesday Night Baseball telecast featuring the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees.
