Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan (KKFN-FM) in Denver added Cecil Lammey to its roster in early February, and now they’re ready to give him a bigger shot as a key part of the weekday lineup. The radio station announced today that Lammey will take over weekdays from 9a-11a on the radio station starting Monday March 7th.
The new program “The Football Insider with Cecil Lammey”, takes advantage of Lammey’s strong background covering the NFL. During the past 10 years, he’s been a regular at the NFL Draft, Scouting Combine, Shrine Game and Pro Days. He’s also developed a solid reputation as an NFL Insider and Senior Writer at Footballguys.com, as well as through his 13 years of radio experience in the Denver market.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to have a weekday show on The Fan,” said Lammey. “This station has always been a big part of my life, and to share my passion and insight with a great and loyal audience means everything. I look forward to being able to connect with this community on a daily basis.”
“Cecil is the perfect compliment to the station as a whole,” said Program Director Armen Williams. “Cecil’s scouting work is well respected around the country and his insider perspective and analysis is unique and exclusive to the Fan listeners. This reinforces our commitment to football and the Denver Broncos.”
The future roles of Shawn Drotar and Ryan Edwards who previously hosted late nights, and were hosting the 10a-Noon slot on an interim basis are unclear at this time. A door remains open for them to return to The Fan.
Additionally, Sandy Clough will host solo from 11a-12p before teaming with Brandon Stokley from Noon to 3.
