An automobile collision resulted in a car smashing into the studio of ESPN 730 near the conclusion of Marty Hurney’s radio show on Monday afternoon.
Two vehicles collided in front of the Charlotte studio as the three-hour show featuring the Carolina Panthers’ former general manager was wrapping up.
Hurney and former Charlotte Observer columnist Tom Sorensen were discussing the Panthers’ loss in Super Bowl 50 when one car crashed into the building, bending frames of the picture window and sending shards of glass into the studio. Sorensen, Hurney and other ESPN personnel weren’t injured.
