Maysville, Kentucky radio station WFTM 1240 AM has decided to make its programming 24-hour sports.
The move was made on January 4, as “AM radio is almost exclusively talk radio these days,” WFTM’s sports director Danny Weddle said.
The AM station was an Oldies music format before the switch.
The station will provide a mix of local and national programming coverage. Kentucky Sports Radio was already being aired from 10-12 a.m. daily. The Tom Leach show runs from 9-10 a.m. and afternoon programming includes the Jim Rome show followed by the Doug Gottlieb show.
On the local front, programming will consist of the “Daily Bailey” hosted by local sports historian Ron Bailey.
Other programs include SportsTalk with Weddle, “Sports Views from the Farm” with David Dugan, “Healthy by Choice” with Dr. Tim Sargent and “Three Guys No Clue” with local pastors Ben Stroup, Andrew Scholz and Kevin Jack.
