One of the most storied sports radio programs in the history of the format is reuniting…..for one night only.
It was announced today on WFAN in New York that Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo will join forces for a one-night reunion of the “Mike and the Mad Dog” program.
The show will air LIVE from Radio City Music Hall on March 30th and run about two and a half hours. Special New York celebrity guests will appear on the show, musical acts will perform and the program will broadcast in front of a LIVE audience. Tickets will be available through the Radio City Music Hall box office and all ticket sales will benefit the Garden of Dreams foundation.
Francesa and Russo spent time on the air together today announcing the news and stated that they were approached by the foundation and asked to consider the idea to help the charity. Once they both expressed interest, CBS and SiriusXM worked together to reach a deal that would be suitable for both companies.
