Denver-based Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has agreed to purchase Denver radio stations KIMN-FM 100.3, KXKL-FM 105.1 and KWOF-FM 92.5 from Wilks Broadcasting.
KSE the owner of the Pepsi Center, the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets, will take control of the three FM outlets, pending FCC approval.
As of now, Mix 100, KOOL 105 and The Wolf, are not expected to change formats, or lose staff, but what the future holds is anyone’s guess.
KSE Media Ventures President and CEO Matt Hutchings said “When these stations became available and were offered to us, we thought they would be a great addition to our media holdings. These stations have excellent local management and staff, which we look forward to welcoming to our family.”
Mile High Sports Radio is the Denver Nuggets’ and Colorado Avalanche’s flagship station, with games airing on AM 950 in partnership with Entercom. Select Nuggets and Avalanche games also air on AM 1340 and 104.3 The Fan throughout the season.
