Houston Sports Radio Ratings

After a sluggish reaction the last couple of months, we’re actually on time this week with a report on the Nielsen Audio ratings for Houston radio for the period March 26-April 22.

As always, we start with 6 a.m. to midnight (Monday through Sunday) among men 25-54, which is the key demographic for sports radio. KILT (610 AM) is down a few tenths, KBME (790 AM) is even with March, and KFNC (97.5 FM) is up. All three are up from a year ago.

Station April March April 2014

KILT (610 AM) 2.9 (15th) 3.3 (12th) 2.6 (T14th)

KBME (790 AM) 2.3 (18th) 2.3 (20th) 2.1 (T18th)

KFNC (97.5 FM) 1.9 (T21st) 1.5 (24th) 1.2 (24th)

No change in the pecking order in weekday morning drive time (6-10 a.m.). KFNC was the only station with month-to-month growth. KILT is down significantly from a year ago.
