Westwood One has added four-time Pro Bowler, two-time NFL MVP, and Super Bowl XXXIV MVP Kurt Warner to its all-star broadcast lineup. Warner will work alongside Kevin Harlan as a Monday Night game analyst, alternating weeks with Boomer Esiason throughout the regular season. In addition, he will contribute weekly to the Thursday Night Football pregame show as well as to the pregame show for Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona. Warner is also currently an analyst with NFL Network and part of the network’s NFL GameDay Morning pregame show on Sunday mornings.
“I love being in the studio for NFL Network on Sunday mornings but I am really excited for the opportunity to be at the stadium in the broadcast booth calling games for Westwood One,” said Warner. “It’s the closest I can be to actually playing the game and now I can have the best of both worlds.”
Howard Deneroff, EVP/Executive Producer. Westwood One Sports, said “To be able to add a player and person of Kurt Warner’s caliber is really exciting for us. His work ethic and dedication, along with his insight and football acumen, will no doubt make him as successful in the booth as he was on the field.”
Westwood One Sports will broadcast complete coverage of 55 national regular season matchups, plus every postseason game, including the AFC and NFC Championship Games and Super Bowl XLIX at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Westwood One will also air a Sunday afternoon doubleheader during the regular season.
