Bob Kravitz has left The Star to go work for WTHR-13. Bob has worked at The Star for 14 years and chronicled all of the major local sports events of the past decade, including the Colts’ two Super Bowl runs and Peyton Manning’s decision to leave town.
“For 14 wonderful years, I’ve been blessed to work for the Indianapolis Star. Great newspaper, great people, and that will not change,” Kravitz said.
“But after much agonizing and many sleepless nights, I’ve chosen to embark on a new professional adventure. I hope people understand I was not running away from the newspaper business, the only business I’ve ever known. I’m running toward something new, exciting, and challenging — and different. I remain bullish on newspaper, and I hope for the very best for the terrific people who put out the daily miracle. My deepest gratitude to all the fine people with whom I’ve worked over the years. Thank you to all the readers who followed me in the Star.”
The Star has begun a national search for a major sports columnist, Ramos said.
